Recently Taiwan media has cooked up some spicy online news on Danshui and this has resulted in some regular checks during the past few days. The KTV and SN in Danshui are somehow affected and the businesses have decided to take shelter until the strong wind blew over. Many brothers have asked if it is still safe to visit KTV during this period of time. Team Phillip would like to assure you that the night entertainment in China will never die, but at some point you just need to keep a low profile and not raise any attentions unnecessarily. Try your best not to engage anyone you are not familiar with, like the cab drivers, KTV mummies and assistants/DJ because they will always want you to spend money at where they can get their commissions, regardless of your safety. If anything happened, you will most likely on your own. Team Phillip has the options to divert you to safer locations to enjoy yourselves, it does not make any difference to us if you decided to play in Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Danshui, Huizhou or Guangzhou, because we have contacts all over the places and we will always prioritize personal safety.

We have seen some funny online comments that Guangzhou is now on major anti-vice raids, whoever posted those comments cannot tell the differences between “raid” and “regular checks”. For info, since the anti-vice raids on 9th Feb 2014 at Dongguan, the entire Dongguan night scene has slumped and suffered the consequences until now. After that there were many “regular checks” all over the country but those do not stop the entertainment businesses for long, perhaps a few days here and there, arrested few people here and there, where the leisure activities will restored after that.
